Our Traditional Funeral*

​

Colin Lockitt Funeral Services Ltd will always make every possible effort to ensure your loved one

has a funeral that is compassionate, caring and sympathetic, taking into account

 the wishes and requests of the deceased, family and loved ones.

​

 

• We will remove your loved one from their place of death in to our care.

 

• If death occurs out of normal working hours, at home or in a care home, we’ll remove your loved one in to our care, 8.30-1700 £150.00  

 

 

• Your loved one will rest at our premises, or if required, at our chapel of rest.  You are welcome to put up pictures, personal items and play music if required.

 

• You’ll be able to visit your loved one by appointment at a time that is convenient to you.

 

• We will complete all necessary paperwork and make all the arrangements for the Funeral service, including liaising with third parties such as the crematorium, minister or celebrant. The Celebrant/Priest/Humanist will visit the family prior to taking the chosen type of service that will produce the funeral most fitting for the deceased and wishes of the family

              care of the deceased at our chapel of rest with viewing of an open or closed coffin if requested

              we will dress the deceased in their own clothes supplied by you or one of our gowns

• Cremated Remains will be delivered or can be collected (if desired) within 28 days of the funeral.

 

• Our friendly team will there at the funeral to support and guide you through such a difficult and stressful time

 

• We can provide a bespoke printed Order of Service; 20 copies, £92.  With orders of 30 + copies, you have the choice between a matching Book of Condolence or an 8x10 framed photograph at no extra cost.

 

• Should you require transportation, our limousines cost £230 per car and can carry up to 6 people.  The car will collect you from home and follow the hearse to the crematorium. Limousines will be made available after the funeral and will chauffer family and loved ones to a venue afterwards.

• Our traditional British coffin that is hand crafted in the UK from quality oak veneer. Excellent finish, simple lines and classic design.  Includes handles, coffin liner and name plate.  All traditional coffins are available in the following wood stains: Dark Oak, Light Oak, Mahogany, Mid Oak and Rose and cost from £350.

 

There may be additional Doctor’s fees of £164.00 required, which we are unable

to confirm until we have collected your loved one.

 

*The specifications of our Traditional Funeral Package is based on a Cremation.  Should you require a burial or any other bespoke service normally provided by a Funeral Director, we are happy to facilitate such a request and therefore submit our Traditional Funeral Package as a guide. Any additional expense raised by the request of the next of kin will be passed on to the client providing full transparency and no costs will be taken by our company.

Get Help with Funeral Costs

 

You could be entitled to a Funeral Expenses Payment (also called a Funeral Payment) if you get certain benefits and need help to pay for a funeral you are arranging.  If you require further specific information regarding assistance with funeral payments, we will be happy to discuss these with you.

 

In order for us to keep our costs down we do require cleared funds three days prior to the cremation taking place (excluding DWP applications).  This can be made by either bank transfer, cheque or cash.
